October Meeting

October meeting was a full house!
We had a full house for the "Mini-bird fair" and get together!
Joining the regulars, Marlene, Pat, Sara, (of course Petey and Carley) Sue, Nancy, Phil, Tom and Rosie were Ed and Mary, Gail, David and sons, and Troy.  What a small world, turns out that Phil had purchased canaries from Troy 20 years ago!  I think everyone had a blast either selling, trading, buying birds or bird related items or just visiting and eating!  We missed Mary who was doctoring a sinus infection and Carolyn who was helping a friend trap a hawk in Madison. Also missed was Vicki, who phoned to say she would not be able to make the meeting. I was hoping to see Carol and her daughter with their lovely birds but Milwaukee is a long drive.  Penny had donated several cages, which Tom was happy to purchase for his canary training.  Sue brought some lovely parrolets, which are now belong to Sara and I!  David is planning to get some from Sue soon as is Stacy.....we will have a little parrolet club soon:)  We also missed seeing Stacy who had emailed that she would be at the Nekoosa Pumpkin Fest with her family. Rod is busy as ever and trying to squeeze in another camping weekend. Looking forward to seeing you all next time or soon.  We have a few pictures to share too.

DSCF0208.JPG (792627 bytes)  Rosie Posy with the lovely, lovely kids.  I really think this experience is so valuable for both Rosie and the kids.  Rosie is sporting a gorgeous and very expensive gift from Sarah -- color coordinated.

DSCF0214.JPG (752950 bytes) Cages and birds for sale.  A benefit of belonging to the club.  Not only the info at meetings is so helpful, but also actual things.

DSCF0212.JPG (717912 bytes)  Tom, Ed, and almost Troy

DSCF0199.JPG (775726 bytes)  Puppies related to Marlene.  Sarah (in the middle) with Petey and Carla.  Carla is a bit redder and is a recent acquisition and helped us all to feel more at home during the meeting.  Look outside on the next picture, and you can see the wonderful layout the Minor's have.

DSCF0210.JPG (767069 bytes)  Mary, David, and Carlos.  Carlos has a little brother not on the picture, but you can see him with Rosemary.

Gail.jpg (744444 bytes)  Gail, Ed, Tom, Troy for sure hiding this time.

DSCF0213.JPG (756907 bytes)  Nancy being shy, Phil, sitting awfully close to the food.  Actually,  it was a pretty full house.

September Meeting  Notice:  Change of Plans 9/7/2005

Hey Tom,
The other officers decided that to conserve gas for the disaster down south, we should not hold a meeting.  I think you would be the only that could attend anyway, everyone had so much to do like that 4 letter word "WORK" etc.  Hopefully everyone can come to the Oct meeting and the price of gas will be down AND the southern situation will be alot better than it is right now.  I am glad to hear that you and Rosie are doing well, you know I do begin to worry if I don't hear you for a few days;)  Check you emails from me and post to the web please that the meeting will be postponed until Oct.  Please.
Thank you much!

June Meeting

Oh yes, Mary said she would like to go to Fox Fire this Sat for the meeting, I didn't hear form Carolyn but you, Mary and I are in favor of it so okay.  Can you please list the meeting location at Culver's in Marshfield at 1p.m. and then for those who want to go to FoxFire Gardens, we will go after the brief meeting?  This Sat, June 4th.  You are most correct in that it is summer and we should be visiting area outdoor sites rather than being inside.  July event will be the show at Oshkosh.  August??  Here??  Where??

May is at the Marshfield Fairgrounds..

I sure had a good time at the meeting!  It was wonderful to meet
Carol and she is just as nice as we thought she would be.  Good to
see Vickie again too.  Phil showed us a neat waterer and I am going
to order some soon for my cages.  I hope Carol, Vickie,Tom and Phil
had good roads on their return home trip.  They have the farthest to
drive.  Sue called last night and I filled her in on the plans that
we discussed.  Can't wait till the weather is better so she can join
us.  Hurly is just too far to travel to meetings when the weather is
so unpredictable.  Tom sure gave us a good laugh with the auction
and he tossed in a few other good ones too!  We all enjoy Tom's
quick wit.  Tom, I think you were pleased with your "webmaster
award"  we presented Tom with a pink pig planter, check web to see
pictures.  I am anxious to hear from Carolyn and see if she trapped
a hawk yesterday.
Marlene

Hi guys,
New Years day is the first Saturday in January and we will be
meeting at Karen's house on the 8th, which is the SECOND Saturday in
January.  If you need directions to her house, please call or email
me.  715-884-2659  Email: mminor@tds.net  We can have a few games
too.  Is anyone hearing baby noises from the cages?  I have a few
baby goulds and some canary eggs that I am not certain of
fertility.  Hope to see you at Karen's on January 8th at 1:00p.m.
Marlene
P.S.  Carol, load those birds in the car and come over  and we will
help clip wings.  Let me know if you are for sure coming and I will
be sure to have Rod there to do the honers.  Happy holiday to all
